Job Title - SDET

Department -Technology

Contract - Permanent, full-time

Location - London Office based with some flexibility for home working


Purpose of role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a SDET to join a rapidly expanding Sports Analytics company based in London Bridge. As a SDET, you will be working in a fast paced, delivery focused environment, playing a critical role in helping a young and fast-growing company to define and establish its automated test processes and procedures for several cutting-edge products.


Summary of the role:

The role’s primary responsibility will be to develop a framework of testing methods, plans, test cases and data that facilitate the execution of test cycles enabling delivery of the company’s software and services product roadmap. The role will require extensive liaising with the development team, business analysts and business product owners to understand key positive and negative test scenarios, agreed entry and exit criteria for product and project phases and the supply of context into prioritisation and decision making.


Key responsibilities:

  1. Working with various internal stakeholders
  2. Definition of suitable automation approach to support QA activities
  3. Building of automation frameworks, selection of automation tools
  4. Creation of an automated regression test set
  5. Working as part of an agile team
  6. Develop test solutions, test plans, test cases and executing the test cases
  7. Plan and implement testing
  8. Test documentation
  9. Working with teams on change management and requisite training


Experience and knowledge

Knowledge and experience in automation testing


Skills and competencies Essential:

  1. Experience in Automation testing, with focus on creation of frameworks, and an interest and ability to pick up new toolsetskills where required
  2. Experience with building test automation against applications written in C#, and be comfortable with micro service architecture
  3. Experience with UI toolsets such as Selenium
  4. Understanding of BDD and TDD
  5. Good SQL knowledge, with the ability to build complex queries and determine the quality of the data both received and delivered
  6. Experience of complex end-to-end system processes involving multiple components and interfaces
  7. Strong mathematical and data analysis skills
  8. Ability to work without supervision, and use own initiative
  9. Willingness to get the job done and get involved
  10. Detail oriented, a logical thinker and very inquisitive about how systems and processes work
  11. Understand risk-based approaches to testing
  12. Knowledge/experience of automated testing framework/process
  13. Desire to make a real impact in a growing business
  14. Excellent communication and time management skills


Desirable:

  1. US sporting knowledge and interest
  2. Knowledge of SQL databases
  3. Knowledge of a scripting language or multiple
  4. Knowledge of CICD methods
  5. Agile/Scrum/Iteration based Development/Change methods
  6. Azure DevOps
  7. TDD


Working hours: Monday to Friday (35 hours per week)
