Position: Engagement Officer
Location: Chesterfield
Contract: Full-time, Temp to Perm
Pay Rate: £500-£600 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP (depending on candidate availability)

About the Role:
Academics is seeking a dedicated and passionate Engagement Officer to join a dynamic Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Chesterfield. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of young people, helping them to re-engage with education and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engagement strategies to support students' academic and personal development.
Work closely with students, parents, and staff to identify barriers to learning and develop tailored support plans.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting student well-being and resilience.
Monitor and report on student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to ensure success.
Collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders to provide comprehensive support for students.
Participate in regular training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and effectiveness.
Requirements:
Proven experience in an educational setting, preferably within a PRU or similar environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and challenges.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Relevant qualifications or training in education, youth work, or a related field (preferred).
