Job Description

What you will do We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Sales Engineer to join our Installation Sales team in Italy. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales of our Building Management Systems (BMS) solutions to industrial clients. This role requires a deep understanding of BMS technology, strong sales acumen, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. How you will do it Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and marginality targets for BMS solutions in the industrial sector Identify and engage with new potential clients, understanding their needs and presenting tailored BMS solutions Conduct outcome-based product demonstrations and technical presentations to showcase the benefits of our BMS offerings Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, project management, and customer support, to ensure cross-selling opportunities and positive project delivery Prepare and present proposals, negotiate contracts, and successfully close sales deals. Manage opportunities through relevant JCI systems and in adherence to sales process (including periodic forecast and non-financial reporting to management) Provide technical support and guidance to clients throughout the sales process. What we look for Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in the Building Management System or industrial automation sector Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth Strong technical knowledge of BMS solutions and their applications in industrial environments, including traditional automation strategies (HVAC, utilities, lighting, etc.) and outcome-based offerings linked to Sustainability (energy monitoring and management, decarbonization initiatives, equipment performance tracking, predictive maintenance, etc.). Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams High business acumen and understanding of corporate financial principles Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently English fluency both verbal and written Willingness to travel as required.
