Job Description Summary The Staff Engineer demonstrates leadership for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will provide strategic, technical and project leadership in a cross functional team developing analytic products for aircraft engine components. You will have exposure to large datasets, big data pattern recognition, signals detection, clusters identifications and transforming field data into actionable information about engine field capability by developing, deploying and maintaining physics based analytic models. Job Description Essential Responsibilities: Define & execute strategy for Physics based Analytics Product with cross function teams Lead a cross functional team and develop, deploy and maintain analytic models by using engine operation/shop visit data and leveraging state of the art modeling technique Lead the team to deliver on analysis/evaluation of projects that meets business standards, practices and procedures and the product/program requirements. Prepare reports and present in technical and program reviews within the organization. Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments as appropriate. Assure proper documentation of technical data generated by team Formulate, implement & manage plans to achieve technical and program requirements, schedules and contract commitments. Foster and inspire a collaborative work style and display team-oriented behavior with a proactive example of communication internally and externally Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Statistics, Machine Learning or related field with 10 years' of total experience Demonstrated skill in data management methods and analytic scaling Demonstrated skill in prescriptive analytics and analytic prototyping Demonstrated skill in defining and delivering customer value Demonstrated skill in working in ambiguous environments Demonstrated expertise in critical thinking and problem solving methods Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience in the use of Python/R/MATLAB SQL and/or other analytic software tools or languages Good experience in project/program management Desired Characteristics Masters or PhD degree in Engineering, Statistics, Machine Learning or related field Experience of working on aircraft engine components Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively Focused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative Problem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinker Additional Information Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes
