Facilities Engineering Manager (MEP)

Responsibilities: 1. Leadership and Team Management: Lead and manage the MEP engineering team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical support to team members. 2. Project Planning and Execution: Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of MEP systems for new construction and renovation projects. Ensure projects are completed within scope, budget, and schedule constraints. 3. System Design and Integration: Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines to develop comprehensive MEP designs. Integrate MEP systems seamlessly with IT infrastructure and other building systems. 4. Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality control standards for MEP design and installation. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with industry codes and standards. 5. Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage budgets for MEP projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency. Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality. 6. Vendor Management: Select and manage relationships with MEP contractors, suppliers, and consultants. Negotiate contracts and ensure vendors adhere to project timelines and specifications. 7. Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of local, national, and international codes and regulations related to MEP systems. Ensure company projects comply with all relevant standards. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field. Proven experience in MEP engineering management, preferably in the IT industry. Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is desirable. Skills and Competencies: Strong leadership and project management skills. Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or other MEP design software. In-depth knowledge of MEP systems, codes, and standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to solve complex engineering problems and make informed decisions.
