Job Description

Staff IT Engineer, End User Computing Responsibilities: Individual will be an important member of the Global IT End User Computing team with collective accountability to availability & performance. Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, ability to be agile and pivot frequently with rapid changes in business & functional demand. Works on complex assignments where problem solving requires in-depth evaluation of varying factors and practices/procedures must be determined. Strong experience utilizing scripting and/or programming languages such as Bash, and PowerShell to automate processes and manage system configuration. Experience with mobile device management such as Intune. Experience with Service Now and the various integration points. Coordinate and implement the installation of client and department specific applications and systems. Includes creation, management, and sustainment of software deployment packages & operating systems. Ability to troubleshoot complex end user endpoint issues within the enterprise environment triaged from other teams. Operational experience working with cross-functional teams on global security initiatives. Strong understanding of endpoint security (laptop, desktop, mobile, etc.) Manages projects; timelines, milestones, resources, budget & documentation. Exercises judgement in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Enhances internal and external working relationships and networks with key contacts outside area of expertise. Collaborate with team and other cross-functional teams (EUS, Lab IT, Information Security) in IT & business projects. Participates in follow-the-sun on-call rotation. Requirements: Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience. Experience in SCCM and Intune administration. Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python. Experience with programming languages such as C#, or JavaScript. Advanced proficiency in Active Directory and Azure environment including OS provisioning, software packaging, image management, and working with GPOs and configuration profiles. Strong understanding of automation servicing tools such as Rundeck or Ansible. Familiar with engineering principles such as Agile methodologies, Scrum, and source control management repositories (GIT). Extensive knowledge of developing and managing desktop operating systems (Mac and Windows versions) Strong experience with Windows Server. Strong working knowledge with the following would be highly desired: Linux such as CentOS/RedHat. JAMF Apple Management. AWS Workspaces, Microsoft Azure Services, Virtual Apps and Desktops. Docker and/or Kubernetes. Understanding of AWS infrastructure and services. Articulate and persuasive oral and written communications skills. Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with focus on customer service. Works independently with minimal guidance/supervision. Preferred Education / Skills: Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience Microsoft certifications AWS certifications Jamf certifications Service Now accreditation ITIL Foundation
