Job Description

I am currently working alongside a tier 1 Developer searching for 2x Quantity Surveyors.


They are a leading developer of high-end residential projects, delivering London’s most admired, important, and commercially successful high-end homes and track-record of excellence has given them a deep and wide-ranging knowledge of the market, encompassing all stages from land acquisition, planning, design and construction, sales and marketing, to project handover and final completion.

They are a fantastic developer to work with, they are a close team and pride themselves on looking after their staff and don’t have many people leaving.


THE PROJECTS


Project 1

  • South London located
  • 1500 units
  • 3 phases (currently in phase 1)
  • RC Frame
  • Completion date 2028


Project 2

  • South West London located - Zone 2
  • 2000 units
  • 6 phases (currently in phase 3)
  • RC Frame
  • 9 years left on the project


They are looking for a Quantity Surveyor who has experience within RC frame.

This position is Full time, with car allowance, Bonus’ and a clear progression path to Senior Quantity Surveyor. Please note there is no Hybrid work with this role.


MAIN DUTIES

Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the commercial and surveying responsibilities on site.

Maintain all cost control procedures, including managing and controlling the budget and valuations by always updating the estimated final costs, and having the ability to show absolute cost and value reconciliation.

Contribute to the conceptual designs/options to ensure the design is kept within the budgeted values.

Prepare and evaluate tender documents, including bills of quantities and pricing schedules.

Analyse and negotiate contracts with subcontractors, suppliers and other stakeholders

Collaborate with project managers, engineers and other professionals to ensure project objectives are achieved within budgetary constraints.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES

A degree in Quantity Surveying.

Experience of building construction in a quantity surveying or project managing role.

Good negotiating skills with excellent time management skills.

Computer literate.

Ability to work to tight deadlines.
