About the role

As a Senior Agreements Officer with Parks Victoria, you will provide end to end management of a variety of tenancy agreements, both commercial and community focussed on Parks Victoria managed land. The role is expected to investigate, assess, develop, negotiate, and provide ongoing management and compliance for new and often complex commercial agreements (including leases, licences, permits and consents). The role will encompass projects across the state, contributing to the delivery of key initiatives or projects which drive innovation and improve efficiencies in the way we deliver our services to the organisation. With a focus on documenting, and proactive management of property agreements and delivery of reporting, we are looking for an experienced property professional to join our team.

Parks Victoria is responsible for managing a diverse estate of more than 4 million hectares including 3,000 land and marine parks and reserves making up 18 per cent of Victoria's landmass, 75 per cent of Victoria's wetlands and 70 per cent of Victoria's coastline. Parks Victoria's estate attracts more than 100 million visits every year and we are committed to providing accessible, enjoyable, diverse programs and destinations while protecting and enhancing environmental and cultural values.

We're looking for someone with:

  • An appropriate tertiary qualification in land and/or property management or approved equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Significant knowledge and proven experience in property leasing and/or management of complex property portfolios.
  • Demonstrated experience working with compliance frameworks in facilities or contract management;
  • Proven experience in conducting complex lease negotiations involving multiple legislative considerations;
  • Demonstrates sound technical knowledge in property management principals, exceptional drafting skills across a range of property related agreements and correspondence, and excellent attention to detail.
