Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:




  • Demonstrated ability to actively engage in creating and implementing sales strategies and business plans for a product range.

  • Proven experience in providing consultative sales processes, understanding client needs, and offering tailored solutions.

  • Advanced technical selling skills with the ability to effectively engage end-users, distributors, consultants, and project houses.

  • Expertise in providing timely, accurate, and competitive pricing on projects, considering market dynamics and company objectives.

  • Proficiency in analysing, updating, and upgrading technical information on both new and existing products.

  • Willingness to assist in and provide input into the product development process based on market insights and customer feedback.

  • Ability to evaluate new markets, industries, and applications for existing and new products through market and customer surveys.

  • Ability to contribute to the development of sales, marketing, customer retention, advertising, pricing models, and distribution strategies.

  • Commitment to maintaining and developing knowledge, staying current with developments in the field and related industries.

  • Ability to work effectively in a small, geographically dispersed team, collaborating to achieve shared goals.

  • Skill in controlling expenses to meet budget guidelines while maximizing sales opportunities.

  • Ability to maintain accurate records of pricing, sales, and activity reports to track performance and support decision-making.

  • Proven ability to manage client relationships effectively, ensuring satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.

  • Willingness to provide and accommodate customer training sessions to enhance product understanding and usage.

  • Ability to liaise with the factory and provide regular feedback to customers on their order status, ensuring transparency and accountability.

  • Commitment to adhering to business ethics and ensuring all activities and interactions align with company values and standards.


Ideal Candidate:



  • Technical Sales Experience: Extensive experience in technical sales, specifically in valves, pumps, and industrial equipment, preferably within the mining, water, and wastewater sectors.

  • Sales Acumen: Strong understanding of sales processes, with the ability to identify new opportunities and close deals effectively.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Proficient in both verbal and written communication, capable of engaging effectively with stakeholders, clients, and team members.

  • Technical Aptitude: Strong technical skills and understanding of the products and industry.

  • Negotiation Skills: Proficient in negotiation techniques to achieve favorable outcomes in pricing, contracts, and agreements.

  • Time Management and Adaptability: Strong ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing market conditions, customer requirements, and internal processes while maintaining focus.

  • Resilience: Capable of handling rejections, setbacks, and challenges, maintaining motivation, and focusing on long-term goals.

  • Educational Background: A degree in Mechanical Engineering (desirable).

  • Availability: Available to work full-time hours from Monday to Friday (38-40 hours per week).
