Senior Manager of Indirect Procurement (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

  • Direct responsibilities for the Category Management of Indirect Materials, Services, Capex, Energy and Logistics, in order to support the overall Business needs
  • Leading a cross functional Category management team
  • Taking over responsibilities for defined Categories as Category Manager
  • Implementing and developing the Category Management systematic inside Procurement and with other functional areas inside the organisation
  • Develop category strategies down to sub-category level and drive execution in alignment with stakeholders
  • Managing supply market analysis and cost model approaches
  • Responsible for regular reporting of KPI to management and stakeholders and working on improvement of KPI systems in procurement
  • Managing the supply base development for the Category
  • Developing and implementing the teams negotiation strategy
  • Serve as a mentor to other team members
  • Align/influence Senior Management within the Business and supply base, to gain stakeholder buy-in to the Category Strategy, approach and deliverables

Education and professional experience

  • A BA/BSC in Engineering, Manufacturing or Business related disciplines; MBA or equivalent preferred
  • 7-10 years, or more years of working experience in a world class Procurement organization
  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a Procurement Leadership role
  • Hands on experience in executing Category Management approach in an international Procurement environment
  • Experience of working with differing nationalities and cultures
  • Proficient in MS office package
  • Fluency in English is a must, other languages will be an advantage
