Senior Practitioner Contact & Response

Location: Oakham, Rutland

37 hours per week, flexible working

Fixed Term Contract up to 2 years

£41,418 - £44,428 plus £3,000 market supplement per annum

Are you committed to helping some of the most vulnerable members of the community? We are looking for a qualified Senior Practitioner to join our Contact and Response team.

About you

  • Qualified Social Worker - DIPSW, BASW / CQSW
  • Experience of supervision and performance development of staff.
  • Post qualifying experience working with adults at risk.
  • Knowledge of Adult Care legislation and procedures.
  • Demonstrate understanding and experience of risk management of complex and high-risk issues.
  • Experience of multi-agency working.
  • Knowledge and experience of safeguarding adults procedure.

About the role

  • Ensure that Making Safeguarding Personal principles are central to all practice.
  • Support with providing specialist advice to the wider service, both on a case-by-case basis and through the delivery of targeted training and development ensuring all staff are aware of their responsibilities and are able to evidence safeguarding competencies.
  • To manage a case load and oversee the case work, including legal processes held by Social Workers within the team.
  • To deputise for the Team Manager when required, such as to cover annual leave, attending meetings and supporting the wider team functions.

The successful applicant for this post will be subject to an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The costs for the DBS are paid by us.
