They are seeking an experienced HSEQ Manager to join their team and ensure their operations comply with the highest HSEQ standards.
Position Overview:
The HSEQ Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, environmental, and quality management systems across all company projects. This role requires a proactive leader with extensive experience in HSEQ and a strong background in the construction industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement HSEQ Policies:
- Design and implement comprehensive HSEQ policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international HSEQ regulations and standards.
- Update and revise policies as necessary to reflect changes in regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify and mitigate potential HSEQ risks.
- Implement effective risk control measures and monitor their effectiveness.
- Develop and deliver HSEQ training programs for employees at all levels.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement regarding HSEQ practices.
- Conduct regular HSEQ audits and inspections across all projects.
- Ensure corrective actions are implemented and followed up in a timely manner.
- Lead investigations into HSEQ incidents and near misses.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
- Prepare and present detailed HSEQ performance reports to senior management.
- Maintain accurate records of HSEQ activities, incidents, and training.
- Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders on HSEQ matters.
- Represent the company in HSEQ meetings and forums.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education:
- Bachelors degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, IEMA) are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in an HSEQ role within the construction industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing HSEQ systems and initiatives in a construction environment.
- Strong knowledge of HSEQ regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence and drive a positive HSEQ culture within the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in HSEQ management software and tools.
