Procurement/Sourcing Specialist

Title: Buyer - Sourcing

Location: Staffordshire (Hybrid – 3 days in office)

Contract: Temporary (12 Months)

Working as the site sourcing specialist for this large international corporate, and focused on specific electronic and engineered category areas.

Responsible for:

• Category/product sourcing strategy - developing and implementing this strategy alongside group procurement objectives.
• Sourcing and negotiating terms against costing targets and building cost of Bill of Materials.
• Tracking and reporting on Purchase Price Variance (PPV).
• Being point of escalation for shortages and sourcing through alternative routes.
• End of product life/Last Time Buy activities.
• Working on New Product Introduction (NPI), Leading design change projects, and product transfer projects.
• Creating and analysing RFQs

Qualifications:

• Ideally MCIPS qualified, or Degree in Engineering
• Experience in technical sourcing and procurement
• Strong knowledge of engineered components or electronic components
