Health and Safety Co-ordinator - Manufacturing

Your Responsibilities:

  • Promote Safety: Foster a culture of Health and Safety across all levels of the organisation.
  • Employee Support: Assist employees in understanding and fulfilling their Health and Safety responsibilities.
  • Manage Inductions: Oversee staff and agency inductions with a focus on safety.
  • Contractor Management: Liaise with contractors from a Health and Safety perspective.
  • Accident Investigations: Lead investigations and manage RIDDORs.
  • Risk Assessments: Conduct and review Risk Assessments and RAMs.
  • COSHH Assessments: Ensure proper management of hazardous substances.
  • Internal Audits: Perform internal audits for HSE processes and procedures.
  • Safety at Heights: Conduct assessments and ensure compliance for working at heights.
  • Documentation Management: Review and manage all HSE documentation.
  • Action Coordination: Log and coordinate HSE actions effectively.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive the continuous improvement of HSE systems and processes.
  • Challenge Non-Compliance: Identify and address HSE non-compliance issues.
  • Training Needs: Identify and facilitate necessary HSE training.

What Were Looking For:

  • Certifications: NEBOSH General or IOSH certified.
  • Experience: Proven competency in the responsibilities listed ideally in a Manufacturing environment
  • Soft Skills:
    • IT literate
    • Attention to detail
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Drive and enthusiasm
