(Onsite and Office Based) IT Technician Hampshire - Driving Licence Required
£22,500 - £26,000dependant on experience
This role requires a driving licence as well as applicants having somewhere to keep a work car overnight as you will be travelling between sites and the office on a daily basis.
Harrap ICT provides high quality support to primary schools across Hampshire. The majority of our work is done on-site at the schools but we also provide remote assistance over the phone or via the Internet.

The role involves working as part of a small team and as an individual to support school staff on routine and ad hoc visits including helping and advising on issues, repairing machines or troubleshooting faults with wireless systems.
Whilst this role primarily focuses on providing support, there will be wide exposure to all activities undertaken by Harrap ICT and also project/R&D based work.
The job will involve providing remote support from our office in Winchester as well as travelling to schools across Hampshire as required.A full driving license and use of own car is preferred.
You will report to the Support and Operations Managers. Taking ownership of issues, tracking calls and communicating with customers and colleagues is the key to being successful in this role.

Key Responsibilities
Receiving customer calls and providing telephone support
Fixing computers and issues on-site and in our workshop
Managing and tracking support issues effectively and communicating progress to customers
Working with team members to meet deadlines
Using initiative to learn and be up-to-date with the latest technologies
Key Skills
IT hardware knowledge is desirable but not essential
Some Windows Server experience (Active Directory and Group Policy) is desirable but not essential
Experience of working with/building computers
Natural affinity for technology
A logical approach to troubleshooting problems
Ability to work independently and within a team
Additional Information
- Our standard week is 37.5 hours to fit around customer requirements, with 30 minutes of daily breaks.
- Work car is provided for travel.
- Fuel card provided for expenses.
- 31 days holiday including standard public holidays.
- Gain 1 additional day of holiday entitltement for each full year of service up to 5 days increasing holiday allowance up to 36 days.
- We are also accepting applicants looking for a part-time and/or term time only role with a minimum of 3 working days, working 9-5 (during term time if relevant).
