Senior Technical Buyer

REQUIREMENTS: B Comm. / B Tech degree or equivalent qualification. Technical Qualification would be advantageous. 5 years procurement experience with at least 3-5 years on management level 5 years procurement experience in a Technical / Mechanical Environment 5 years material handling experience Project management experience KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Negotiate and enter into multiyear cost-effective contracts with major suppliers in conjunction with Executive Manager Procurement and GM Supply Chain Determine and ensure availability of strategic suppliers for specific specialised areas Achieve cost savings targets on Material, Capex, Non-Stock, Shipping and Services Develop Life Cycle Costing Models for applicable Procurement Projects Responsible for the procurement process, sourcing, RFQs, price evaluations, cost analysis, negotiations and final procurement selection and qualification of suppliers. The Senior Technical Buyer is also responsible for the finalisation of Contracts/SLA's and the management thereof over the contract/SLA period.
