Job Description

We are currently seeking a Network Optimisation Co-Ordinator To join our Transport team at our Minworth site.

As a Network Optimisation Co-Ordinator you willoptimise the planning route to market, using own fleet, internal sub contraction and external sub-contractors. Planning of multi sites vehicles and drivers, taking into account WTD & EU regulations and compliance legalities. The own fleet drivers will also incorporate Tramping drivers and some previous experience of planning tramping solutions would be beneficial. Networking is an essential to this role, as backloads will play a major part of this role and fundamentally the P&L for the business.

Job responsibilities of a Network Optimisation Co-Ordinatorinclude:

  • Optimal route to market for loads
  • Re-planning routes to make the efficiencies that may be available now but were not at planning stage.
  • Liaising with other 3pls and suppliers to seek out reloads back to the desired areas.
  • Maintaining reports for both Operations and accounts teams, to ensure payments and revenue streams are correct in a timely manner.
  • Housekeeping TMS to ensure all loads are visible with correct information to enable a smooth transport plan for execution.
  • Seeking out best external routes to market and keeping within marketable rates
  • Building relationships with hauliers for continuous support throughout the year, during peak periods also.
Qualifications

Job responsibilities of a Network Optimisation Co-Ordinator include:

  • Route Planning, Microsoft Packages
  • Multi-user site experience, Networking
  • Crossdocking, Trunking, Tramper Planning
  • Geographical knowledge essential
  • National CPC Desirable
  • Previous planning or transport knowledge essential, ideally a background of 3pl / 4pl and or general haulage operation.
  • Primary network understanding within the major retailers.
