Job Description:

Manages the Fire Protection/Prevention and Security organizations at Antigua Air Station.

Supervises ground support operations of U.S. Military & Contract Carrier Aircraft at Antigua's Commercial Airport.

Ensures fire fighting vehicles, support vehicles, equipment & personnel are in a constant ready response posture.

Develops Operating Procedures & Management Plans.

Responsible for Training & Certification Programs, and the Fire Prevention & Engineering Programs.

Ensures the CSR Security Management Plan is complied with.

Effectively utilizes resources to maintain compliance with customer requirements and required procedures.

Job Requirements:

Must be thoroughly familiar with Air Force Instruction 32-2001, Fire Emergency Services Program, Command & Control, Tactics & Strategies, Disaster Control and procedures required for handling Security incidents. Well versed with applicable NFPA, DOD and AFOSH Fire Protection requirements.

Requires knowledge of applicable Security/Law Enforcement Standards/Instructions. Knowledge of airfield ground support operations and regulations pertaining to passenger manifesting and anti-hijacking procedures.

Must be experienced and well qualified in the fire protection career field and have experience in armed forces security/law enforcement or comparable civilian security/law enforcement operations.

Must be able to clearly understand, speak, read, and write the English language.

Excellent supervisory and administrative skills needed to perform/maintain the required functions/duties of this position.
Ability to lead a work force that includes both U.S. and Foreign National employees.

Must be flexible to work with all shifts to ensure operational standards are being fulfilled.

BS/BA degree in an associated discipline or the equivalent experience.

IFSA or Pro-Board certification as a Fire Officer IV, Fire Instructor II, Fire Inspector II and HAZMAT Incident Commander are required.

Prefer Security/Law Enforcement Military or Civilian Training, related experience and education will be considered in lieu of this requirement.

Must possess/maintain valid state driver's license, U.S. Passport and be able to obtain/maintain U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
Remote overseas assignment; no family accommodations are available. Available on-call status. Physical ability to perform firefighting duties. Some overtime may be required. Must be able to interface with all levels of personnel in a diverse, multi-cultural, team-oriented environment.
